Stepping out with Confidence.

Do you ever find yourself staring into the abyss of your closet, wondering how in the world you’re going to find that one shirt you know you have? Do you feel like you have a closet full of clothes, but nothing to wear? If so, it’s time to organize your closet! Here are 10 simple steps to get your closet in tip-top shape:

Start by taking everything out of your closet. Yes, everything. This may seem overwhelming, but trust me – it’s worth it.

Sort your clothes into piles. Make a pile for clothes you wear regularly, clothes you haven’t worn in a while, and clothes you don’t wear at all.

Go through each pile and ask yourself some questions. Do you still like the clothes in the pile? Do they fit well? Are they in good condition? Be honest with yourself – if you haven’t worn something in a year or more, it’s time to let it go.

Donate or sell the clothes that you don’t wear. If you have clothes that are in good condition but you just don’t wear them, consider donating them to a local charity or selling them online. I know it’s hard but remember – someone may be looking for what you’re letting go!! (that’s a way I can let go of items easier)

Organize your clothes by type. Group your shirts together, your pants together, your dresses together, and so on.

Within each group, organize your clothes by color. This will make it easier to find what you’re looking for.

Invest in some organizing tools. Hanging organizers, shoe racks, and drawer dividers can all help you make the most of your closet space.

Hang your clothes by category, with the clothes you wear most often at eye level. This will make it easier to see what you have and choose what to wear.

Use the floor space wisely. If you have room, add a shoe rack or some baskets to store accessories.

Finally, maintain your newly organized closet. Take a few minutes each week to put clothes back in their proper place and get rid of anything you no longer wear.

By following these 10 simple steps, you’ll have a beautifully organized closet in no time! Not only will it make getting dressed in the morning easier, but it will also help you appreciate the clothes you have and get more use out of them.
